IDENTITY IN CHRIST: We Are Never Alone
Christians are never alone because we have Christ living in our hearts because of our faith. This week's study is a verse straight from Ephesians that can be extremely comforting or extremely uncomfortable, depending on who you are.
Do you like being alone? Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
God made us for relationships, whether we are introverted or extroverted and studies have shown that the happiest people on earth are those who have deep connections with others.

Bible Verse - Psalm 139:7-12
Where could I go to escape
from your Spirit
or from your sight?
If I were to climb up
to the highest heavens,
you would be there.

to the world of the dead
you would also be there.
Suppose I had wings
like the dawning day
and flew across the ocean.
Even then your powerful arm
would guide and protect me.
Or suppose I said, “I’ll hide
in the dark
until night comes
to cover me over.”
But you see in the dark
because daylight and dark
are all the same to you.
Have you been somewhere really remote before? I’ve been to places where I think no one has been, wilderness in Tasmania, outback Australia, scuba diving in the bottom of the ocean. It feels like no one has ever been there and like I am so far away. But God is with me.
Sharni and Banjo go to primary school and whenever they’re worried about leaving me and going in the gate, I remind them that they are never alone and that God is with them and they find comfort in that.
Have you ever found comfort in knowing that God is with you?
I caught the train without a ticket and got caught. I kinda wish God didn’t have to see that. It is a bit like police - when you’re naughty you don’t want them around but when you’re in trouble you want their help.
Have you ever felt like you wish God wasn’t there?
Overall, how do you feel knowing that you are never alone?
Pray, thanking God that he is always with us.
Story Time!
I took a cave tour and when we were deep in the cave the lights were turned off. I felt so remote. It was so dark. But God was there.
