IDENTITY IN CHRIST: We Are Free
Are you free? Do you live in The Land of The Free?
What does freedom mean? “The condition of not being in prison or captivity, or the condition of being free of restraints, especially the ability to act without control or interference by another or by circumstance.”
Does anyone control you? If you are a child and have parents and teachers telling you what to do all the time, are you free?
What is so good about being free?

Join in the guessing game! I am thinking of a word, it is a word that describes a type of person. Guess the person who I am talking about.
What is a slave? A slave is “One who is owned as the property of someone else, especially in involuntary servitude, or one who is controlled by another.”
It is different to a servant because servants are paid and choose to be there. A slave is someone who is made to do things because they are owned by someone. They are not their own.
Bible Passage: Galatians 4:7
“You are no longer slaves. You are God’s children, and you will be given what he has promised.”
This bible verse is one I have read out before - it talks about how we are:
No longer slaves
God’s children
Heirs
Story Time
Today's story is about how I used to be a slave to sugar. Addictions are similar to being a slave! I would go to church and to bible study and to parties and anywhere, and would always been needing to eat the sweet sugary treats.
Bible Passage: Romans 6:12-14
“Don’t let sin rule your body. After all, your body is bound to die, so don’t obey its desires or let any part of it become a slave of evil. Give yourselves to God, as people who have been raised from death to life. Make every part of your body a slave that pleases God. Don’t let sin keep ruling your lives. You are ruled by God’s kindness and not by the Law.”
